Front and centre is the Xmas Adventure, our tour for the festive season. You can book any of these tours as a team building event.
In teams, you puzzle your way through Melk, collect points, and afterwards celebrate the team with the most points over dinner. The programme comes from myCityHunt, you choose the venue and menu yourselves.
In Melk the venue question usually answers itself before the party planning even starts — a restaurant is booked, a hall is already attached to the office, a long table is waiting. What is missing is the part that gets people out of their chairs and talking before they sit down to eat. That is where myCityHunt comes in: we bring the programme, you bring the room and the menu. The teams play through the centre of Melk, finishing close enough to the tables that the walk to dinner barely counts as one.
The programme itself is a puzzle tour, played on the app on everyone's own phone. No printed clues, no guide walking ahead with a flag — the app shows the route, hands out riddles, codes and photo challenges, and takes in the answers as they come. Teams cover around four kilometres through Melk on foot, roughly three hours in total, passing the Kolomanibrunnen and the Bischöfliches Seminar along the way. A shared team chat keeps the banter going, a live leaderboard shows who is ahead, and every photo lands in one gallery everybody can scroll through later. In Melk we run this as Xmas Adventure, Escape Game, Murder Mystery Tour or Treasure Hunt, depending on what sort of evening you are after. The route for each is fixed, but the pace is entirely up to the team — some sprint, some linger, nobody is made to wait on anyone else.
Pricing starts from £ 15.99 per person plus VAT, and you choose the date and time yourselves when you book, right up to two days before. Invoices, credit card or PayPal all work, and you get a proper VAT invoice either way. What we don't do is tell you where to eat afterwards — that part of the Christmas party in Melk stays entirely yours to decide.
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors. Whether industry, retail, government or services: myCityHunt scavenger hunts are an excellent teambuilding event for your company outing, department party or team event - and that at 6,467 locations around the world.
How about a puzzle tour through Melk with the myCityHunt app as the program before dinner? Your team heads out in small groups, solves challenges at landmarks across the city, and competes team against team for the top spot on the live leaderboard. Several themes are available, and the tour ends in time for the meal.
The tour comes before the meal: about three hours outdoors in Melk, and everyone is back in time for dinner. You book the restaurant, and the program before it comes from myCityHunt. For the organizer, that leaves little more to do than picking the date and putting the teams together.
A Christmas party that starts out in the city instead of at the table: your company splits into teams and heads through Melk before the meal, collecting points against the other teams. If a team gets stuck, a myCityHunt guide is just a chat message away. The date is yours to pick, even at short notice in December, and venue and menu stay entirely your decision.
The tour through Melk is priced from £ 15.99 per person, and you receive an invoice for the booking. Food and drinks afterward are planned by you, so the budget for the evening stays in your hands.
Yes, in a single booking, split into teams that all start together. The price per person stays the same regardless of group size. Mixing departments when forming the teams works well and gets colleagues talking who otherwise rarely cross paths.
You choose the date and the time. The booking is valid for any day you like, in December just like the rest of the year, and the tour starts once the whole team has arrived. Short-notice bookings work too.
Around three hours. That makes it the first half of the evening: the tour first, then dinner with plenty to talk about.
The tour takes place outdoors in Melk, and you can pause it at any point. If the rain gets heavy or the snow piles up, warm up somewhere dry and pick up right where you left off. Warm jackets and sturdy shoes are part of a Christmas party in December.
