Front and centre is the Xmas Adventure, our tour for the festive season. You can book any of these tours as a team building event.
In teams, you puzzle your way through Reading, collect points, and afterwards celebrate the team with the most points over dinner. The programme comes from myCityHunt, you choose the venue and menu yourselves.
Christmas party Reading means the celebration happens in two parts, and only one of them is ours. We bring the programme: a puzzle tour played through the app, with teams working their way through the centre of Reading solving riddles, codes and photo challenges while the app tracks the route and keeps score. You bring the room and the menu — whichever restaurant, pub or private dining room you already have in mind for Reading. Because the tour runs through the centre, where the restaurants are, the walk from the last checkpoint to dinner is short, not a logistical project of its own.
In Reading the teams can take on the Xmas Adventure, an Escape Game, a Murder Mystery Tour or a Treasure Hunt — each with its own fixed route through the city, past the Maiwand Lion, St Laurence's Church or Reading Minster, depending on which tour your team is booked onto. The app leads the way, so nobody needs a map or a sense of direction, just a charged phone. Teams play against each other rather than alongside each other: a team chat keeps the banter going, a leaderboard shows who's ahead, and the whole thing covers roughly four kilometres and three hours on foot — enough to build an appetite for whatever comes after.
Pricing starts from £ 15.99 per person plus VAT, and you choose the date and time yourself when booking, right up to two days beforehand. Invoice, credit card or PayPal all work, and you'll always get a proper VAT invoice for the books.
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors. Whether industry, retail, government or services: myCityHunt scavenger hunts are an excellent teambuilding event for your company outing, department party or team event - and that at 6,465 locations around the world.
How about a puzzle tour through Reading with the myCityHunt app as the program before dinner? Your team heads out in small groups, solves challenges at landmarks across the city, and competes team against team for the top spot on the live leaderboard. Several themes are available, and the tour ends in time for the meal.
The tour comes before the meal: about three hours outdoors in Reading, and everyone is back in time for dinner. You book the restaurant, and the program before it comes from myCityHunt. For the organizer, that leaves little more to do than picking the date and putting the teams together.
A Christmas party that starts out in the city instead of at the table: your company splits into teams and heads through Reading before the meal, collecting points against the other teams. If a team gets stuck, a myCityHunt guide is just a chat message away. The date is yours to pick, even at short notice in December, and venue and menu stay entirely your decision.
The tour through Reading is priced from £ 15.99 per person, and you receive an invoice for the booking. Food and drinks afterward are planned by you, so the budget for the evening stays in your hands.
Yes, in a single booking, split into teams that all start together. The price per person stays the same regardless of group size. Mixing departments when forming the teams works well and gets colleagues talking who otherwise rarely cross paths.
You choose the date and the time. The booking is valid for any day you like, in December just like the rest of the year, and the tour starts once the whole team has arrived. Short-notice bookings work too.
Around three hours. That makes it the first half of the evening: the tour first, then dinner with plenty to talk about.
The tour takes place outdoors in Reading, and you can pause it at any point. If the rain gets heavy or the snow piles up, warm up somewhere dry and pick up right where you left off. Warm jackets and sturdy shoes are part of a Christmas party in December.
